We realize that no photograph or scan of a daguerreotype or other image can be a 100% perfect reproduction. We do our best to accurately reproduce and desribe the images, but your final acceptance can only come when you actually hold the image in your hand. We will gladly accept a return of any image that does not meet your expectations, provided you notify us of your intention to return it, and it has not been tampered with in any way.

#31988: DAGUERREOTYPE BY BOLLINGER
Strong quarter-plate daguerreotype of a man seated at a table; his glasses rest on a book by his hand. His stern countenance is well captured, although the image overall is a little flat, and the lighting has not been controlled well; one of the marks of an itinerant daguerreian. A handwritten note inside the case identifies the daguerreian as Bollinger and the date of the image as 1848. The image is unsealed, in an octagonal brass mat in the "House in the Country" leather/wood case (Berg 4-98). The case is separated at the spine, otherwise an Excellent example. $250.00
