We realize that no photograph or scan of a daguerreotype or other image can be a 100% perfect reproduction. We do our best to accurately reproduce and desribe the images, but your final acceptance can only come when you actually hold the image in your hand. We will gladly accept a return of any image that does not meet your expectations, provided you notify us of your intention to return it, and it has not been tampered with in any way.

#31963: YOUNG MAN, in Velvet Case A nicely composed sixth-plate daguerreotype housed in a velvet bookstyle case. The young man, carefully groomed, sits with his hands folded on his lap. The image is not originally sealed, but is resealed, apparently decades ago. Although the image is crisp and sharp, there is evidence of spots of surface growth. These will probably disappear with cleaning, resulting in a nice portrait for any collection. The maroon velvet case (similar to Berg 6-15a) shows a fair amount of rubbing wear, and the cover is separated at the spine. $95.00
