Between major site integrations, new items will appear on my New Acquisitions pages Back to Photographical Index Page Dearborn, Michigan, c. 1975 A unique multiple-image tintype, a self-portrait of the tintype photographer, taken c. 1975 (yes, that's the 20th century). Richard Wolfe, a member of the Michigan Photographic Historical Society and photographer at the Henry Ford Museum, took this self-portrait, recreating the old tintype process and using a four-lens CDV camera. Part of a sign for the museum can be seen behind him. Wolfe holds his glasses in his lap, and wears his photographer's apron. A wonderful example of the tintype process as it was re-created in the early years of public photographic collecting; and a unique image. To the best of my knowledge, only two or three of these images were ever produced. $200.00 |
